Song: Paradise
Album: Candy
Released: June 28, 2018

Sometimes a song comes along and checks all the boxes for me. This Blank Tapes song does just that. Overall, it’s a feel-good song—I mean, come on, it’s called Paradise. But it’s dynamic too. The Blank Tapes carry the listener in and out of a dream with the repeated key changes in this tune. The guitar licks keep the dream alive when the smooth vocal harmonies and echo effects take a break.

It’s a dreamy psychedelic pop song that would be perfect for a road trip with friends or a taking a walk by yourself to clear your head.

The Blank Tapes is led by multi-instrumentalist Matt Adams. This song comes from their most recent album, Candy, which was produced by Fruit Bats leading man Eric D. Johnson. The whole album is worth a listen.
